Organisation ~ how to do it...

Now although we aren’t just sitting around twirling our thumbs waiting for guests to return, we do have a long ‘’to do’’ list that we can finally get started on. Here are five steps in how to organise your marketing while you actually have some time which will help to keep your marketing in line when this all returns to normal.

1. List all of the areas of marketing that you need to organise. It could be social media, digital advertising, trade shows or similar. Write them all down, like a wish-list.

2. Prioritise the areas that you identified above. What is most important to your park. Is it strengthening relationships and communication with previous guests, or building your presence on your social media channels?

3. We do not know how long this will be our situation, so it is important to think about how you can be most productive? What is the best use of your time? Is it cleaning all of your guest data, or designing a return to business campaign? Remember to think outside the box, unprecedented times call for unprecedented measures.

4. It is so important to allocate your time. Outlining when and for how long you plan to spend on each of these tasks so that you don’t get distracted and you finalise the most important areas first.

5. Create a plan and some processes around these tasks. How will you achieve the goals? Do you need to research online? Contact a specialist? Speak to a mentor? By spending a little extra time on the planning, you will save a lot more time completing the task.

Remember that marketing does not have to be confusing or overwhelming. It is about commonsense and putting yourself in the eyes of the customer. If you have any questions, please send them through to see if we can help.
